A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Alaska’s Aleutian Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake hit around 241 kilometers (150 miles) west of the remote Alaskan settlement of Adak on Thursday morning, August 28.

There was no tsunami warning issued.
