🇮🇹 About Carrara
Carrara is a historic town in northern Tuscany, internationally famous as the home of some of the world's most prestigious white marble. Located at the foot of the spectacular Apuan Alps, the town has developed around marble extraction and craftsmanship, a tradition that dates back to Roman times.
The historic center combines narrow streets, elegant squares and buildings decorated with local marble. Piazza Alberica and Carrara Cathedral are among its best-known landmarks, while the surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop unlike almost anywhere else in Tuscany.
