A major forest fire broke out in Eskisehir city, Turkey, on the morning of July 22, Haberler.com reported.
According to Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli, 24 people were trapped by the fire while attempting to extinguish it. 14 of them were hospitalized with various injuries. 10 people, including five forest workers and five employees of the Search and Rescue Association (AKUT), were killed.
The fire suddenly intensified, trapping a portion of the rescue team in the center. Some of the victims suffered severe burns, and others are still listed as missing.
