An abnormal swell on Friday (December 27) brought strong waves to El Nuro, a coastline area in the northwestern Piura region of Peru, damaging and sinking some fishermen’s boats out at sea, according to local media.
Unexpected high waves been impacting the entire coastline of Piura and its northern neighboring region of Tumbes since Wednesday (December 25), local media reported.
