ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Residents from Anchorage to Peters Creek reported feeling the ground shake late Tuesday night as a magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck west of the city.
According to preliminary data from seismologists, the quake hit at 11:07 p.m. AKST, with an epicenter roughly 29 miles west of Anchorage.
While there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries, social media lit up with posts from people who felt the tremor across the region.
Officials continue to monitor for any aftershocks.
