Tropical Storm Ramil, internationally known as Fengshen, has caused widespread devastation across the central Philippines, resulting in at least ten fatalities due to severe flooding. The storm has heavily impacted Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and parts of Southern Luzon, with Capiz province experiencing the most severe effects.

The flooding claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman who was swept away by a creek in Ivisan town. Over 3,300 families, totaling approximately 9,665 individuals, have been affected across 61 barangays in Capiz. Roads and rice fields in Agkilo, Panitan, Capiz, have been submerged by floodwaters, making them impassable. A 45-year-old man from Barangay Dulangan, Pilar town, tragically died from electrocution during the flooding, and in Quezon province, a family of five lost their lives when a tree fell onto their home in Pitogo town.
In response to the disaster, Roxas City has declared a state of calamity, and rescue operations are ongoing. Authorities continue to urge residents to remain vigilant as storm warnings remain in effect. Tropical Storm Ramil has left communities struggling with the aftermath of rising waters and infrastructure damage, highlighting the urgent need for aid and recovery efforts.
