An earthquake struck just after midnight with its epicenter near Zavareh in Isfahan Province, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers below the earth’s surface.
The tremors were felt not only in Isfahan but also in parts of Tehran and Qom, spreading concern across multiple provinces. According to local reports, residents in Damavand, Absard, Kilan, Varamin, and Fasham in Tehran Province experienced noticeable shaking.
Initially, some unofficial sources mistakenly reported the epicenter to be Fasham in Tehran Province, but later updates confirmed Zavareh, Isfahan Province as the actual location.
No immediate reports of casualties or major damage have been confirmed, but the midnight quake caused alarm among residents in the affected regions.
