An earthquake shook the region early Thursday morning with its epicenter near the Texas-Louisiana line.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported there was a 3.3 magnitude earthquake southeast of Uncertain, Texas, at 6:15 a.m. Thursday. USGS reports the quake occurred about 3 miles beneath the surface.
Uncertain, Texas, is about 25 miles from Shreveport in Harrison County. Residents of Shreveport, Mooringsport, Oil City and Benton reported feeling the earthquake to USGS.
