An earthquake measuring 4.9 magnitude was recorded today, Sunday, October 6, at 12:14 local time in Italy’s Marche region, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The earthquake’s epicenter was located:
- 64 km from the city of Rimini
- 35 km east-northeast of Pesaro’s coastline
- 32 km east of Fano
The focal depth was measured at 15 kilometers.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or material damage, though the quake was widely felt across the Marche region.
Italian authorities are monitoring seismic activity and remain on alert to ensure public safety.
